Customer Reviews

Good care and comfort

I like the care from the community and the staff is caring and attentive. The community is clean and maintained. They do offer a lot of activities that are offered to the residents. We do like the care and the value of this community and would recommend that other families tour the community for the care of a loved one.

The staff seemed competent. The facility was more hospital-like than other facilities. The residents did not appear to be very engaged. They were eating a meal in complete silence.

Overall Great Service

I was very happy with St. Francis Assisted Care for the short time my mom was there. I feel that more attention could have been given to her blood sugar, however, overall, they provided great services.

Looking for a facility is not easy. But I am so glad that I stopped to tour facility. The staff were nice and seemed friendly. The people were exercising with bands and music was motivating. I plan to tour again.

St. Francis. A valuable community.

It's hard to know where to begin.

The staff are quite friendly, effective, tolerant and patient. The cost is surprisingly affordable considering the services provided and compared to any nearby or similar facility.

The outdoor spaces are clean and maintenance and improvements are taking place actively. Indoors is pleasant, comfortable and kept clean.

Their food is quite good and the menu varies well including custom nutritional requirements.

Medication requirements, where necessary, are well managed. They work with the residents doctors and families actively. They take initiative and communicate to families effectively.

Safety is of obvious concern and while residents are in a secure environment, they have considerable freedom and space, given the confines of their varying conditions.

I see no evidence of abuse or neglect. They are as concerned with the wellbeing of their residents as you would yourself.

They have daily activities though I have been unable to attend so I cannot speak to the extent and interaction.

It is a life changing situation that requires the need for an assisted living facility. It is unquestionably difficult and often quite unexpected. As is the case with my wife requiring care I could not possibly provide and still remain productive with a job and responsibilities.

I am relieved at the care provided. At a cost that is manageable.

Very unhappy with St Francis assisted are

My siblings and I went to check out St Francis Assisted Care all went well signed my mom up. The next day I moved in her things and the furniture company brought her new furniture. I was there about 3 hours now one ever came into the room to see if my mom was there. The admissions director Elivira lied to me when I ask about my mom eating in her room. She said nooooo it is against the law, it is not because no other home told me that. I ask one of the employees to help me find my moms call button and she said Its in there on the wall find it. [removed] Went home and thought about all that went on that day and called the admissions director and said my mom would not be coming for these reasons I stated. Even though my mother never moved in she would not give me my $500.00 deposit back... called the furniture company to pick her furniture up and no one even question him if he had permission to that her new furniture. I felt I should have gotten it back. Would never recommend them to any one. My mom is now in Orangeburg Manor and I am pleased with Tori and the staff.

Quiet a Good Experience

Husband and Wife express that they are very delighted with all the amenities offered there and are quite pleased with the services that were provided for their loved one. Comparing this property to others it was priced much alike the other communities surrounding them..

Lockdown Alzheimer's Care

It's a nice place. Some of the staff are real good and some are just not. We found this one to be reasonable and affordable for my father with Alzheimer's. They've been working with me pretty good. We're trying to get his medications balanced out. They're quite helpful. A couple of them are really nice and go out of their way to help him. He's only been there two and a half months so we're still getting the feel for it. It's assisted care so they try to keep an eye on him but they can't watch him 24/7. It's a lockdown facility.
