It's a lovely place
My aunt is really happy in this facility. Everything is really nice here. It’s clean and organized and the grounds are kept up with. I’ve only been able to visit once but the time that I did visit her, the staff seemed very nice and friendly. The rooms are unfurnished and you have to provide everything inside the apartment including towels, sheets, a bed, etc. The perk of the apartment is that they have a full kitchen including a stove and fridge. There is someone who comes in once a week and cleans for her. The only thing they don’t do is her laundry. My aunt says the food is good when she did try it but she prefers not to eat in the dining hall. They do offer activities like bingo and they have a schedule for when they have people come in and do entertainment. I would really recommend this community. It’s a really nice place.
A very nice place, Rural, loved the bird feeding, wildlife, balconies next to the woods. The four rating comes from observing not much mind challenging opportunities, difficult card games, mahjong, or digital opportunities. Bingo, puzzles, a library are all accessible, so that is good! The layout of the apartments is very good, some facing the road, some to the wildlife areas for different likes. Food not available when we were there, so will go by smells - enticing! Friendly personable residents and staff. Husband commented floors squeaked excessively, drove him batty! Very few men residents, so decor is predominantly female. Outdoor activities are available nearby for the men, should they want to partake of fishing, hunting, others. Financial plan very easy to figure out - no "buy-in" fees. Some amenities require payment, but basics are all furnished. Exercise daily with limited equipment, but adequate. Much opportunity to participate in activities OR create your own activities as you wish, off site or on. Pat Todd, Piedmont MO
I would rate them very highly in all ...
I would rate them very highly in all categories. The only category where they seem to be lacking would be in activities. There just aren't that many of actitivy options. Other than that, the food is pretty good. They do a pretty good job at what they do. What really set them apart was their personal touch that they give to their residents.
