Dallas Concierge Services

Concierge service used to be a perk most people only encountered when they stayed in an upscale hotel, but the rise of online service providers has made it possible for most of us to save time and effort with concierge services. In Dallas, you’ll find dozens of companies ready to help with errands, grocery delivery, housecleaning, pet care, and home maintenance. These services can be a lifeline to seniors who are homebound, busy caregivers, and family members who can’t help in person.

A concierge service by any other name

Today’s mass-market concierge services often call themselves something else. For example, TaskRabbit can connect you to helpers who stand in line at the driver’s license office, staff your party buffet table, and deliver your dinner. Here are some other helpful Dallas-area services.

Amazon Home Services connects customers to local service providers to clean up your home and yard, tackle repair and remodeling projects, put together your new furniture, and help you figure out your home computer. Providers are listed by invitation after passing background and licensing checks.

Porch is another home services option. Homeowners can find Dallas-area handymen and contractors, see Porch.com client ratings, Better Business Bureau ratings, and photos of previous work.

Prestigious Pets helps Dallas area pet owners with dog-walking and pet sitting services. Dog-walking starts at $20 for 20-30 minutes.

Rover can also fetch you a dog walker. The online platform helps pet owners find independent pet care providers around Dallas. Rates for a 30-minute walk range from $10 to $25.

Check your concierge options

To find your best options, check out a few providers before you hire someone or place an order. Scope out their reviews online, get input from friends and neighbors, and make sure you understand whether and how each company screens, insures and trains its employees or contractors. The right concierge service can save you lots of time over the long run, so a little homework up front is worth it.
