Things to Do in Tulsa

Take your grandkids to the park, head by yourself to a sports arena, or visit a museum with a friend. The city of Tulsa offers a variety of popular attractions for any occasion. You can find plenty to keep you busy and on the go when you get out and explore the area.

Art Museums Around Tulsa

The Philbrook Museum of Art includes a garden area with 25 acres of beauty. Take a walk through one of the most beautiful places in Oklahoma when you come here. The interior of the museum showcases gorgeous paintings, elegant sculptures, and inspiring messages. Seniors get a discount on admission and can enjoy the artful views Tuesday through Sunday.

Tulsa’s Most Historic Sites

The Tulsa Preservation Commission focuses on homes and buildings added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Blue Dome District is one option on the list, comprised of a full 17-block area. Commercial and industrial buildings make up the majority of the district, established anywhere between 1903 and 1965.

Outdoor Happenings Around the Area

The Oxley Nature Center is one of the popular outdoor happenings in Tulsa. You can hike the trails anytime between 7 am and 9 pm when the park is open. The Redbud Valley Nature Preserve sits near the center, open only Wednesday through Sunday. Both the Redbud and the Oxley each maintain their own building where you can see inside for a look at some special offerings. Staff members are often available to answer questions.

Enjoy Indoor Sports at the Arena

Watch the Tulsa Oilers play hockey at the BOK Center. The center became their home turf after 2008. They previously played at the Tulsa Convention Center. If minor league baseball is your game of choice, see the Tulsa Drillers play at the ONEOK Field.

Join In on the Fun at the Fall Fair

The Tulsa State Fair is one of the biggest attractions in the city. The fall fair typically occurs between September and October in an effort to say farewell to summer and bring in the new year. The Oklahoma Stage features concerts by some of the biggest names in music. The likes of Ashanti, Elle King, Chris Janson, and Mercy Me get to grace the stage. Competitions include livestock and horse shows, fiddling championships, the OK State Sugar Art Show, and more. Disney on Ice, the PRCA Rodeo, and Midway Express Ride are just a few of the attractions that help draw in a crowd.

Find a Quiet Place

Spa Lux lets you find your quiet place and get some much-needed relaxation. Body treatments, facials, massages, and time in the sauna prove to be some of the more favored options offered. A unique hydro-therapy massage uses water therapy with LED light treatment to calm and heal your skin. It works to enhance cellular metabolism and accelerate the rate in which damaged skin cells begin to repair themselves. You get left with healthy, smooth skin that is firm and resilient. You get a 25-minute session each time.
