Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care, and some home health care options.

Part B covers items similar to other health insurance including doctor’s visits and services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and well checks.

Part C: A private company contracts with Medicare to provide you with additional optional Part A and Part B benefits (Medicare Advantage) and usually offers prescription coverage.
