There is another program through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), which is a national program that offers one-on-one counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers. Medicare offers a Physician Compare tool on its website. This search allows you to find local doctors who accept Medicare payment. You can choose doctors who accept the Medicare fee, so you will not have to pay an additional fee.
