All New York residents and visitors can utilize Trailways bus system. The buses travel between many of the major metropolitan cities. Seniors 62 and older get to receive discounted prices for their travel fare. The amount depends on the distance traveled and where you are traveling.

George Eastman Museum

Built on the former estate of George Eastman, this home museum provides a look at film archives, photography, and cinema. Dryden Theatre is available at the museum, offering 500 seats for guests to enjoy a motion picture. If you are over the age of 65, you may enter the home for $2 less than those paying general admission prices.

AMC Loews Webster 12

Enjoy a movie by heading to the AMC theater in Rochester. The Webster 12 features all of the most recent films. Showings can start as early as 11 a.m. and run until after 10 p.m. You are eligible to receive $1.50 off your movie ticket if you are 60 or older.

Seneca Park Zoo

The Seneca Park Zoo features over 100 animals from various continents. Mammals, amphibians, and birds are all available at the zoo. Special events, such as summer programs, are sometimes held. You may access the zoo grounds for $1 less than others thanks to the senior discount offered.

Susan B. Anthony House

The Susan B. Anthony House is a popular museum that allows visitors to explore the time period of the late 1800s. The house museum is open Tuesday through Sundays. Seniors receive $5 off the admission price in order to explore the historical site for a more affordable cost.

Rochester Museum and Science Center

Explore the many exhibits and offerings from the Rochester Museum and Science Center in order to see unique scientific discoveries and technological advances. Exhibits are hands-on, allowing you to not only see, but also feel the objects around you. A nature center and planetarium are both included. A $1 discount is offered if you are a senior adult. A $2 discount is provided if you receive an admission to both the museum and the planetarium.

Frank Ritter Ice Arena

Skate to your heart’s content at the Frank Ritter Ice Arena. This space is used for public ice-skating, as well as hockey games and other events. Seniors can skate for just $3.

Aquarium of Niagara

Just over an hour away in Niagara Falls, the Aquarium of Niagara offers a unique experience for you to enjoy. The facility is open from 9 a.m to 6:30 p.m. on the weekdays, and until 7:30 p.m. on the weekends. Parking is free, but you must pay an admission fee to experience the animals within. Seals, penguins, lobsters, starfish, and more are available to touch through the animal experiences. Once you reach the age of 60, you receive $1.75 off your admission fee.
