Riverside has more than 300,000 residing in the area, so it is no surprise the city now offers LGBT-friendly attractions and businesses that include everyone. A special LGBT resource center is available in the area to ensure everyone can find the resources and guidance they need. Tyler Street is a gay-friendly area in the city that offers a lot of shopping. The Galleria at Tyler is a Riverside shopping mall with a large number of shops and restaurants. TGI Fridays and Red Robin are the two full-service restaurants that are popular to frequent.

At Pacifica Senior Living, residents have the option for long and short term stays. They can enjoy some activities on site in the common areas, or they can head off site to enjoy some group activities as well.

Out! Riverside has a mission to provide plenty of social opportunities for LGBTQI members of the community. It is the largest group of its kind that allows members to meet up frequently and engage in events together. People sometimes schedule their own meet-ups, and allow others to RSVP. Nearly 1,000 members in total are involved with the group.

A number of bars and nightclubs are available in Riverside. There are two main LGBT options. VIP Nightclub & Restaurant features karaoke nights, drag shows, and happy hour deals. The Menagerie is mainly for men, but anyone who identifies as LGBT can enjoy the night at this location. Drag shows, dancing, and theme nights are available on a regular basis.

Riverside Support for Residents

Speed Friending is a fun event that allows people of the LGBT community get to know one another. Sort of like speed dating, this event lets people have a few minutes to strike up a conversation with someone and see what they have in common. It is a great way to open up a line of communication with others and receive some companionship that many are missing, especially when they are new to a city.

Pride for Life is an alumni group from UC Riverside. Seniors who are part of one of these groups can join in on conversations and attend events with people in their age range. UC Riverside has an LGBT support center that provides plenty of opportunities for people to meet and engage with one another.
