Weekly visits are typically performed, with those involved heading to nursing homes, care centers, and private residences in an effort to provide ministry to those who request it. This is often a helpful service to those walking the faith, as they need the spiritual support it provides. Some provide monthly or twice a month services. Holy Communion is even brought to residents in the program.
Westminster Communities of Florida provides various living residents to seniors. Independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, home care, pharmacy, and rehabilitation are all included. Skilled nursing refers to providing a nurse for daily care, whether for a long term period, or a short while. These nurses administer IVs, perform wound care, take vitals, and offer rehabilitation therapy.
Home care allows residents to remain in their own home, while still receiving the care services they need. Typical procedures take up to roughly two hours, providing plenty of time for residents to continue on and enjoy their day any way they see fit. Up to 24 hours of care can be provided in the home, with live-in nurse options available.
