Medicaid in Oklahoma City

Many seniors in Oklahoma City receive Medicaid benefits to assist with paying for their health care needs. In the state of Oklahoma, over two-thirds of care provided to seniors in the state is supplemented by the program. Services like doctor, hospital and dental visits are included, as are prescription medications, in-home medical care, long-term care, and even transportation to and from medical appointments. Seniors determining whether or not they may meet the criteria to apply should review this helpful overview for insight on how the program works in Oklahoma.

Who can submit an application for Medicaid assistance in Oklahoma?

Medicaid benefits are administered based on several different criteria. You must be an adult age 65 or above, or have been diagnosed with a long-term medical condition that results in a disability that will last a year or more, and requires 30 consecutive days of medical care. In addition, applicants must have very limited assets (not including your car and home), and a low-income to qualify for program assistance.

How to apply for assistance and manage your benefits

Oklahoma seniors can apply for Medicaid through the SoonerCare online enrollment portal.
