Customer Reviews

Again, very friendly informative mgr and staff. Was able to tour the whole facility and rooms with them. Good variety of room choices. Menu & activities looked inviting. Also provided me with written & verbal info on help I could receive as a veteran, much appreciated.

The food is great. There are many activities. The Staff are friendly and helpful.

Tour for options

We toured this community for care. The community needs a lot of major improvements inside and out of the community The odor was something that we did not like. The staff was caring and polite We did not see a menu at this time. We know that there has been some time since we have taken this tour. Families might want to check this community for a tour of a community for a loved one

Thank you so much for your feedback, as we truly appreciate the opportunity to serve the Carmichael community for independent living, assisted living and memory care. We have addressed your concerns about odor, and would welcome you to come back and have a personalized visit with us. Please connect with me personally at [removed] and I would be happy to meet with you. Sincerely, Jeffrey Dillon, Executive Director

I would recommend this community.

I like living at this community. They offer daily activities and a happy hour every Friday. The food is good and they keep the community clean. The staff helped me with my move in and they have been there to answer my questions. This community is a good value.

Great living conditions!!

I have no complaints about my new home at this community. I really like the living conditions and the apartment I was able to rent out, Its just perfect for me. I enjoy the different meals the chef prepares for us throughout the week. They are healthy and well balanced with great proportions. I look forward to all of the great events they host especially the holiday parties with the other residents. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking into retirement.

Mom's Care

I like the care here for my mom. The staff is very nice and caring. The community is clean and enjoyable. They have a good variety of meals that she seems to enjoy. They offer activities for those who want to participate. This is nice to know that she is in great care here. I would recommend this community for great care and value.

Lots of improvements, construction, etc. and more services here than I expected. The tour was by a Marketing person and leaned towards a "fast sale" although she was nice. The staff was OK...didn't get any "hellos" from workers in hallways. I felt rushed and that they are use to people making decisions that day. This would be my 2nd choice.

What about Dad?

Let me explain my review of Sagebrook of Charmichael. I don't know about the care services, but I can review what my experience has been.
I've been here for less than a month & in this time I've become right at home. The staff have always been very helpful when I asked for help, they try to get things done in a timely manner.
I am on the one meal a day plan, the food is good but could be served a bit warmer. The serving size is great and can be adjusted to fit your needs.
I have access to a washer & dryer just a few yards from my front door.
Last and what I like the most is my own little patio. I can slip out my sliding glass door & enjoy coffee in the morning sun! It is pretty quite here and I enjoy that.
The residents are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful, I think I'll go outside with my morning coffee & enjoy the sunshine.

This is not an assisted facility, just apartment for seniors. there is no care per se' Hoerver paramedics live on site for emergencies. The facility is under renovation, but still not what we're looking for. Rooms are extremely small, not enough activities, but they're working on that. Rent is very low, but meals cost extra.

A lot of changes are happening at Sagebrook!!

I was hoping when my dad moved into Sagebrook that he would have a lot to keep him busy, however they do not have a lot of activities available at this time. There are new owners and they have hired a new activities director as well as they are doing some renovations. So we are hoping things will improve. He does enjoy the meals and the staff are nice. Even though he is bored currently I would recommend this community.

Wonderful senior community

Sagebrook of Carmichael is a wonderful senior community, offering many services and activities for loved ones. Every interaction with any staff member has been pleasant and helpful. They strive to exceed expectations of senior care, and are continually improving the facilities and programs as needs of the residents change.

Please beware for your family members sake!

Beware! Linda acts like a great person caring for your family but...They actually will wash the bibs, and other items used for your families with dirty poop filled clothes that should be washed seperately! They will allow men to help the women in the bathroom instead of women. They force the family member to play ball or whatever they want them to do. As you know, not all Alzheimer's people can do the same thing. Nor do they have an interest. They also have been known to dope the Alzheimer's person to keep them quiet. We were visiting a friend and saw men and woman lying together on couch in the entry way licked room, dead asleep from being doped up in daytime. You don't have to keep them doped . Just provide people that care for them!

We couldn't have chosen better.

When mom had Alzheimer's and it was clear we couldn't take care of her adequately any more, we looked around at a number of facilities. The Chateau was by far and away the very best of them. They took excellent care of mom. My uncle and I often went there to sing and play music for the residents, and they were delighted to have us there. I'm very, very glad we chose the Chateau. It's true that her room was only the size of a small bedroom, and at first we were disappointed by its size, but it turned out that that was quite sufficient for mom and was not an issue. We were very lucky that SSI paid for the room, and that she had an assisted living waiver to pay for the extra care she required. Once in awhile I paid for incidentals like pullups or non-prescription meds, but that was infrequent.

Nice apt. but short on space.

Sample apt. looked nice but very short on space. In fact, they lied to me re. the square footage. it was 200 sq. ft. LESS than what they told me !!!!

Great So Far

My mother just moved in a couple of days ago. She did respite care over the weekend and we just started to move more of her stuff in so she's still adjusting. So far it seems to be really good. It's great. There are no issues or concerns so far. She was coming from another Chateau community. I'm comfortable with the overall company that runs it because they're both Hank Fischer props and that a local company so I liked that. I was also recommended to me by the woman who helped me do all the moving. She had worked with them a lot. So far, it's great.

Warm and Welcoming

There were several reasons we chose this community for our loved one. The location was very convenient for our family. The price was right for what we needed. The appearance of the community was very nice and provides a comfortable setting; it was very warm and welcoming. Overall it just seems like a really good community that was within our budget. From the Community

Easy living in a gated suburban neighborhood is offered at The Landing at Carmichael, a senior community that features remarkably affordable, high quality memory care through Generations Memory Care. Residents enjoy studio or one- bedroom apartments, each with a private bathroom. A well-trained, compassionate staff is on-hand 24-hours a day to provide medications management and assistance with dressing, bathing and other activities of daily living. Training in “best practices” is on going and family caregiver support groups are held on site each month. Entertainment is frequently scheduled as are a fully complement of activities, which are designed to promote socialization and help residents retain daily living skills. Delicious meals are prepared daily with the freshest ingredients and the restaurant-style menus provide plenty of choice. Housekeeping and a myriad of other services are available. While memory care is the featured service, independent senior living also is available – also at especially reasonable rates.
