Two enticing art museums add color to your life in Lincoln. The Great Plains Art Museum is part of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. It sits at 1155 Q St, Hewit Place, and admission is free. The Sheldon Museum of Art resides at 1209 R St. Admission to this location also remains open for everyone.

The Nebraska State Historical Society focuses on preserving sites in all counties throughout the state. Enjoy the Nice Weather at Outdoor Exhibits

The nature preserve spans more than 660 acres. It stays open each day from 8:30 am until 5 pm, except for Sundays when the hours change to Noon to 5 pm.

The Sunken Gardens sit on one and a half acres. Many improvements have been made over the years to make them more accessible to everyone, with plans still in the works. Visit each day from 6am to 11pm. There is currently no entrance fee, and volunteers only ask that you make a donation when you can.

Several sports teams exist in Lincoln. The Saltdogs play professional baseball, while Nebraska Danger and Omaha Beef are two indoor American football leagues. The Lancaster Event Center provides the space for the Super Fair. When you want to enjoy some fried food, go on a ride, watch motorsports, play a game, or enjoy any of the other fair activities, this is the place to be. The fair often runs the first week of August. If you want to pay a lower price, there is free parking on Monday through Wednesday, along with free admission. The rest of the week there are added costs for both.
