The Kansas City Anti-Violence Project is a gay and lesbian organization devoted to stopping violent crimes against the LGBT community. The organization is located at 4050 Pennsylvania Ave, Ste 135, with walk-in hours available between Monday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. People can seek out the organization if they have suffered a violent crime, or if they simply are in need of legal advice. It is also a safe place to go for anyone that needs a simple helping hand.

The Mid-America Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is available to LGBT business owners and acquaintances in the area. Their duty is to advocate for gay business owners and help them become successful in their markets. Many events are put on each year by the GLCC in hopes of encouraging participation by others in the community.
