The Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch is open to the public with 18 holes with views of the San Tan Range and the Superstition Mountains. You can also shop at the club’s golf shop and purchase apparel from brands like Nike, Antigua, Black Clover, Matte Grey, AUR, and Page and Tuttle.

If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, visit Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. You can walk the trails or fish in the lake. Wildlife can be seen throughout the park such as rabbits, ducks, and owls. The preserve is great for birdwatching and on specific days you can attend the Family Bird Walks with an expert birder.

Freestone District Park is for the active individual looking for a great place to walk, jog, or bike. You can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the shade while you enjoy the duck pond or fish in the stocked lakes. The park also has four basketball courts, four tennis courts, an amphitheater, four softball fields, two volleyball courts, and a recreation center.

The Gilbert Historical Museum is housed in the former Gilbert Elementary School built in 1913 and features a collection of the town’s memorabilia including uniforms, handwritten letters, photographs, and objects. The museum hosts events throughout the year such as the Annual Night at the Museum Gala. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for seniors age 60 and older.

The Gilbert Rotary Centennial Observatory is a great way to spend your weekend evenings. The observatory is open Friday and Saturday evenings from dark until 9:30 PM and is supported by the East Valley Astronomy Club. Throughout the year, the observatory opens for special events and solar viewing.
