Here is a list to start to get you started.

Eating is a treat

Joe's Real BBQ has been serving some of the Valley's best ribs, beans, and pulled pork all cafeteria-style. The restaurant is located in a renovated 1929 brick building and has a 1948 John Deere tractor inside along with a mural showing Gilbert's agricultural past. This restaurant is a family destination. Favorites on the menu include a choice of meats of white-meat turkey (it is juicy) or the sausage with a little spice kick and crispy skin. The sides are masterfully prepared. Choose from mac ‘n’ cheese, sweet corn, cole slaw, and cornbread that is in a league of its own. To quench your thirst, try Joe’s homemade root beer.

Joyride Taco House offers a modern twist on traditional Mexican fare. Choose from burritos, tortas, tacos, and some of the best salsa. Joyride Taco is housed in a historic building, the Grainbelt Building, which adds to the ambiance. If you can’t stay and eat their delicious tacos, you can order to go.

At Romeo's Euro Cafe, chef Romeo Taus gives his diners an impressive and extensive menu of Mediterranean cuisine. You can choose from appetizers like the eggplant capicola, feta dill fritters, or Venetian roasted peppers. Entrees include Chicken Omega, made of grilled chicken with spinach, pine nuts, and garlic in a white wine cream sauce. You can also choose from numerous salad, pitas, subs, and pasta options. Don’t fret about the long menu – you really can’t go wrong with any choice.
