1. Wyler Aerial Tram

Seniors can buy tickets at the tramway station to ride the gondola that transports them to the top of Ranger Peak. On the exhilarating ride up, a park ranger will describe the different cacti and rock formations you’ll see.

2. The Magoffin Homestead

The Magoffin Home was built in 1875 and is a combination of the traditional adobe style mixed with some Greek Revival details that is an example of the Territorial style. It has 19 rooms, 8 fireplaces, and 14-foot ceilings. The original owner and his family lived in it for 110 years, and many of the original furnishings are still exhibited.

3. El Paso Zoo

5. The Franklin Mountains State Park

6. The El Paso Museum of Archaeology

Walk the museum’s 15 acres and gaze at the more than 250 varieties of Chihuahuan Desert native plants, educational outdoor exhibits, and the Indian Garden.

7. Ascarate Park

Ascarate Park is the largest public-use recreational park in El Paso and it offers visitors access to sports, picnicking, fishing and other fun activities.

Ascarate Park spans more than 400 acres and has an 18-hole, 72 par golf course and a 9 hole executive course called the Delta 9.

8. Chamizal National Memorial

The Chamizal National Memorial isn’t just an urban park. It was created as a relaxing place to enjoy a tranquil afternoon. Enjoy visiting the museum and be entertained and educated.

9. The Centennial Museum and the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens

The Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens are a great place to enjoy native plant life and learn about the history of the El Paso area.

10. El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center

The mission of El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center is to teach the history of the Holocaust in order to combat prejudice and intolerance through education, community outreach, and cultural activities. Admission to the museum is free.
