Having a strong faith and regularly attending religious services makes seniors feel happier, enhances their health, and improves their sociability. Good Samaritan Hospital provides a full array of medical services for seniors. Programs include Alzheimer’s caregiver services, AARP driver programs, and medical care. One of the educational programs is the Moving Safely Program. This is an evidence-based educational program that helps seniors prevent falls and injuries so they can be safe at home and in the community. The Samaritan Senior Connection Program is a hospital program that offers care for seniors that are hospitalized.

Mercy Health is located in nearby Springfield, Ohio. This program has a senior health and housing program where senior citizens will find eldercare services and housing in one facility. The program offers a range of independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services, retirement cottage living, and hospice care.

The Medical Center at Elizabeth Hospital was formerly the St. Elizabeth Hospital and is currently owned by over 60 area physicians. The hospital has 26 patient rooms, 5 operating rooms, an imaging center and a pathology lab. Specialties include general surgeons, ophthalmologists, GI doctors, orthopedic and neuro surgeons, and many other specialties. The American Medical Association reports that specialty hospitals like The Medical Center of Elizabeth Hospital offers improved, cost-effective care as compared with general care hospitals. The Physician Hospital of America Association notes that physician owned hospitals are good for the physicians as well as the patients. They also benefit communities and the healthcare industry.

Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley has a mission of serving individuals, families, and seniors through acts of faith, service, and charity. Individuals that seek services from Catholic Social Services can practice any faith or religion without regard to discrimination. The program has a senior outreach program, food pantry, and refugee resettlement program. Catholic Social Services also administers a program called PASSPORT (Pre-Admission Screening System Providing Options and Resources Today). PASSPORT services include personal care assistance, homemaking, home-delivered meals, emergency response systems, adult day care, home medical equipment, minor home modification, medical transportation, chore services, and social work counseling.

St. Leonard is a Franciscan Living Community that is located just south of Dayton. The property is nestled into 240 acres of picturesque property.
