The City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department’s Senior Community Services Division partnered to open the Greenwood SeniorNet Computer Learning Center. This center provides free computer access and learning to older adults.

The City’s Recreation Center offers a wide variety of fitness classes including Sit and Be Fit, Zumba, Chair Volleyball, Table Tennis and Matter of Balance Class. These encourage you to be active and healthy. The Zavala Senior Center along with the WellMed Charitable Foundation will offer an exercise room with fitness equipment. This center also offers a fitness trainer to ensure you are using the machines properly and also make sure you are getting the most out of your fitness program. This facility is free for residents 50 and older. First United Methodist Church offers Fitness and Fun free of charge for adults 60 and older every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in their gym.
The Harbor Playhouse in the Arts District hosts more than 700 volunteers, actors, technicians, and support staff from ages 5 to 80! Try your hand at acting or helping with the stage or production.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) connects seniors 55 and older to volunteer activities in their community. Based on your interests and skills, the program will match with the best opportunity. Volunteer services include clerical and administrative duties, fundraising, special project coordinators, thrift, and gift shop clerks, computer assistants, and other opportunities.
