Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

A senior membership to the facility allows you to not only enjoy the art collections, glass blowing shop, and garden and plant collections, but you also receive discounts at the Garden Café as well as at area museums and exhibits.

Center of Science and Industry (COSI)

COSI features interactive exhibits about energy, health, anatomy, space, travel, and more. Take in a planetarium show on the second floor, then take the glass elevator to the first floor for lunch at the café.

Wagner-Hagans Auto Museum

This auto museum located in German Village features antique cars and memorabilia from the 1920’s through the 1950’s. You can see a rare 1956 Continental Mark II and peruse the vintage signs.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

On Tuesdays, seniors receive half price off the general admission for the zoo and aquarium and a discounted price anytime. The zoo features animals from different continents with exhibits made to reflect their natural habitat. Enjoy the Asia Quest, Australia and the Islands, Congo Expedition, Heart of Africa, North America, and the Shores and Aquarium.

Jubilee Museum and Catholic Cultural Center

The center hosts exhibitions throughout the year as well as one hour long tours. Currently, the museum is featuring a contemporary depiction of Jacob’s Dream from four artists. You can view beautiful gold chalices with amethyst, altars made of marble highlighting the relic of a saint, and vestments from the Holy Land dating back to the 1700s.

Columbus Museum of Art

The Museum of Art offers free admission on Sundays and discounts for seniors the rest of the week. You can walk the halls and view exhibits featuring Picasso, modern spin art, or learn about contemporary art created by Ohioan artists.

Ohio History Center

History buffs will appreciate the museum with its archives, library, and historic preservation office. The center features a Civil War battle flag collection, extinct and endangered animals in the state, and more. The archives department can help you access resources to track your family’s genealogy.

The Topiary Park

This park features sculptures created from nature that mimic life. Walk among the large human-shaped topiaries in a self-led tour or join a docent-led tour of the grounds. The park also hosts events like summer movies, holiday lighting, and The Treasures of Town Street.

Central Ohio Fire Museum and Learning Center

Take a tour of the restored 1908 fire station and walk through the “Fire Safety Way” to see a burned room display and more. The museum features antique fire trucks and carriages.

Kelton House Museum and Garden

Either through a self-guided tour or a docent-led tour, you can walk through the beautiful Kelton family house and garden. You may wish to join a “Learn Sophia’s Secret” tour as the tour guide, dressed as Sophia Kelton, tells the story of the family as conductors on the Underground Railroad.
