Personal consulting services offer individuals a safe, open space to vent and problem solve situations in their life. A personal consultant listens actively, provides support and guidance through life’s tribulations to improve the quality of life for seniors and their caregivers.
Kendall Van Blarcom has a patient ear and is a personal confidant to his clients. With private personal consulting sessions via phone, clients are able to discuss their problems with confidence they are receiving the attention they need to figure out difficult situations. For some clients, just being heard and listened to is enough to help them move away from the depression and/or anxiety they suffer with each day.
Personal consulting services is unlike therapy or counseling in that there will be no discussion of deep-rooted issues. Clients discuss what is on their mind that hampers their everyday life. They often feel as though their personal consultant is a friend they can trust completely with no fear anyone will find out their deepest, darkest, most vulnerable thoughts and feelings. The freedom of this is what makes personal consulting a success.

Perhaps the best way to describe Celebration is by calling it a community that was designed by the Walt Disney Company. Technically, you can't call it a city - it is officially known as a census-designated place, even though it also has a somewhat official population of about 7,200 residents. But the reason you can easily associate this relatively new Orlando-area master planned community with Disney was because the gigantic entertainment and amusements conglomerate originally developed it. What's more, this connection is relatively easy to see once you explore the town, from its impeccable cleanliness and safety records to the remarkable buildings that are found here, some of which were built by some of the country's most revered architects. But even if you aren't a Disney aficionado, Celebration gives you plenty of reasons to consider it as a place to live if you are considering a move to Florida. And for golden agers, this is especially the case when the city's vast network of senior living communities is considered.
The Disney stamp on Celebration cannot just be witnessed by looking at its architecture. It has built up a reputation for being an immensely walkable city, as its design was crafted with the thought of people being able to easily walk from one neighborhood to another - not unlike a Disney park patron going from one "land" to another. The city has also developed an esteemed reputation for its safety, which is a metric that seems to go hand in hand with its capacity to organically encourage residents to get from point A to point B on foot.
Of course, some of Celebration's Disney-fueled affects are almost impossible to miss. For instance, the street that goes through the city's downtown area, Market Street, carries an aesthetic that vaguely resembles the look and style of the Magic Kingdom's Main Street U.S.A. What's more, Celebration uses a little bit of Disney magic to make the city feel a little more special during certain parts of the year. For instance, the street shoots confetti out of its lampposts during the autumn to simulate falling leaves, and these same lamp posts shoot out soap suds during the winter to mimic the effect of falling snow.
Ironically enough, Celebration does not have a road within its borders called Main Street, even though it would seem like calling a road such a name would make perfect sense. The reason that there is no Main Street is due to the fact that a road named Main Street already exists in Osceola County, which is where Celebration is located; county rules prohibit the existence of two separate roads with the same name.
In a nutshell, Celebration's senior living communities are conducted as a means of providing golden agers with a dignified living space that encourages as much independence and freedom as their mind and body would allow. This then would enable golden agers to have a way to enjoy life to its fullest extent. These accredited venues can achieve this noble goal by chiefly enabling golden agers to live their lives as freely as possible without running interference unless it is completely medically necessary for them to do so. In other words, if the senior is fine going about his or her life without any issue, these facilities will step aside.
That's not to say that these special facilities are completely removed from the picture. In fact, one of the chief strengths of these particular communities is that they set up a daily slate of activities that end up encouraging golden agers to get to know each other in a safe and secure environment. These functions foster peer-to-peer interaction in an organic manner, and this kind of engagement could very well be the foundation that could ultimately lead to the cultivation of friendships and the forging of bonds - elements that could play key roles in the preservation of an active and lively lifestyle.
The influence that the Walt Disney Company had in the formation of Celebration is fairly evident. Yet even if you remove Disney's fingerprints from the city, you would still be left with a town that possesses its own sense of Central Florida magic. It is a magic that fundamentally encourages golden agers to live a life of fullness, and the fact that the city's assisted living communities are as good as they are makes it really easy for the senior set to do exactly that.
