The Aurora History Museum offers free admission to everyone. It remains open from 9 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Friday, and 11 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Outdoor Parks and Recreation

The Cherry Creek State Park located in Arapahoe County features a body of water in the center of it all. Boat ramps stay closed for the winter season but open in March for full access. The rest of the park remains open year-long.

The Arapahoe County Fairgrounds provide regular activities and outings for the family. The County Fair held each year brings in a large crowd at the end of July, keeping you busy with live music, rodeos, tractor pulls, games, and fireworks. You can head to the fair and see what they have to offer or choose to volunteer with whatever they need help completing. An affordable admission fee includes unlimited rides, access to concerts and tractor pulls, exhibits, and the fireworks.
