All-Star Neighborhoods of Aurora

The downtown area seems to be the all-star neighborhood of Aurora for gays. This area is typically most LGBT-friendly in any location. Garden Plaza of Aurora is one senior living facility in the region that provides plenty of entertainment and fun living for LGBT seniors. A game room with a pool table is included, along with plenty of other amenities and fun features. There is also a golf course onsite.

Advocacy in Aurora

The GLBT Community Center of Colorado is an advocate of all LGBT people in the state. The center provides numerous support groups to ensure everyone finds a safe place to share their thoughts, feelings, worries, and triumphs. A Gay, Straight, and In-Between group is available on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. The Womyn’s Circle for lesbian discussions is held at 6:30 p.m., on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

Out Boulder is another option in the area. A gender support group meets every Thursday at the Out Boulder’s Pridehouse. It is around a 40-minute drive from Aurora. An event list is available on the website to ensure anyone in the area that wants to attend a community event has the information to do so. Happy Hours, art and activism, group meetings, and much more are offered each month.
