Automated services are available 24 hours a day and live representatives are available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays. The deaf and hard of hearing can access TTY services by calling 1-800-325-0778.
If your Social Security or Medicare card is lost, damaged or stolen, you can visit your nearest office to order a replacement. You can also visit an office in order to update your personal information. It’s important to inform the Social Security Administration of any name changes as quickly as possible.
Social Security disability beneficiaries who want to start or continue working can take advantage of the Ticket to Work program, a Social Security work incentive program that helps disabled adults to integrate into the workplace. This program is only open to seniors under the age of 65, but participants gain valuable vocational skills that last a lifetime.
